A new journal article ‘Decolonial Philosophy in Action: The Plumwood Mountain Landback article’ has now been published in Ethics, Policy and Environment. This article is led by Plumwood Inc. member Dr. Lara Stevens and was co-authored by the members of the Plumwood Inc. committee at the time of the Plumwood Mountain landback in 2024.
This article aims to make visible some of the decision-making and processes which led Plumwood Inc. to engage in a landback process with the Batemans Bay Local Aboriginal Land Council and Walbunja Rangers. While landback will look different in every context, we hope that this article opens up some reflexive discussions in our community and that it will be a useful resource for others looking to engage in landback and reparative practice. It is open access!
